Dear Parents and Guardians, This newsletter is to bring you up to date with school news and remind you of important upcoming events. 1. SCHOOL FEES I would like to thank all parents and guardians who are up-to-date in the payment of school fees and annual fees. Please be reminded that all outstanding fees will have to be paid before your child/ward is issued with the Mid Year Examination Slip to enable them to sit for the exam.
2. THEATRE PRESENTATION 2009 – HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL In collaboration with the PTC, the school is once again preparing for this year's Musical. The cast have started practices and in the coming weeks and Mid Year holidays preparations will continue. We seek the cooperation and support of all parents/guardians to make this a very successful event. The date for the Musical is 12 July 2009 at the Magellan, Sutera Harbour. Please keep this date free. 3. CANTEEN FOOD The school canteen is fully in compliance with the Malaysian education ruling of a halal canteen. Ever since the school canteen has been operating it has full grades from the food inspection by both religious and educational departments. Please be assured that the school takes up-most care in all its activities to ensure issues such as this is respected. We wish to remind students and parents who bring food to school that this also must comply with the school ruling of a fully halal school. Thank you for your kind attention to this matter. 4. TEACHERS CONFERENCE June 8th 2009 We wish to inform parents that the school is launching a new annual project, a Teachers Conference for all educators. The ‘Sabah Teachers Conference’ will be held on Monday, June 8th 2009 at the Sabah Golf and Country Club from 0800-1615. There are two international and two national speakers who will focus on improving the quality of teaching. This is an exciting event for the school and we hope parents who are educators can attend and please tell your friends who are educators at any level to come along too. This is sure to be a great learning experience for those who wish to improve their teaching. Information can be obtained from the school office or phone 088 437906/ 088 438294. 5.
